
After years of floundering around with the Protectorate, I finally landed on a 500 point, fully painted (finally) list that earned a ludicrous 9-3-3 record. So ludicrous, in fact, that I'm going to retire my beloved Menite figures for a while.

CowCow lived up to the advance billing. Five men in the remote Dorset countryside. A crate of wine. A charcoal grill. Metallic mayhem.
Although I improved on my dismal, winless record, I still wound up tied for last with a 1-3 record in the 500 point format. I squeezed in some Mangled Metal as well, winning one out of three matches in that format. 2-5 isn't great - but it sure beats my previous 0-4!
Happily, almost every match was competitive as well - another improvement over the previous tournament.

I follow Wyrd Miniature’s new releases on a regular basis, but the advent of ‘Candy, Diabolical Little Girl' baffled me. Even at the decent RRP of a fiver, I couldn’t figure out, for the life of me, what Wyrd were thinking. Is this a vanity project?
Within two weeks, however, I had my order placed. Why, you ask? Child vampires.
