New Releases: Blameless by Gail Carriger
Underground Reading: The Quick Red Fox by John D. MacDonald

The City & The City continued its reign of terror in Australia last night, sharing the Hugo for Best Novel with Paolo Bacigalupi's The Windup Girl. Mieville's genre-bending book already won the Arthur C. Clarke and BSFA awards, as well as the super-coveted Kitschy. Bacigalupi's win is a shot in the arm for the troubled Night Shade imprint, we can all hope this is a boost for everyone involved. Finally, Chicago won the vote to host the 2012 WorldCon. All this happened before the stage was devoured by wallabies.
